KazNIC's new data-center

KazNIX - traffic exchange point

KazNIX is a traffic exchange point, accelerates communications between the Internet companies, providing the neutral Internet eXchange platform for exchange of IP traffic between networks and the global distributed network of DNS servers for support of root domain zones.

The distributed city network, covers all districts of the city. KazNIX are connected telecom operators, video portals, corporate and scientific and educational networks.

Peering on speed of 10G and placement of the equipment in new data center.

Our organization at its own expense will produce all the necessary approvals and work on connecting your network to the "traffic exchange point" at a speed of 10G/s. If the load reaches above 50%, additional 10G/s ports will be provided. The subscription fee for the use of ports and for their connection is not charged.

KazNIC and CDNvideo Deploy a Local CDN Server at KazNIX

KazNIC announces a partnership with the international CDN provider CDNvideo: a local content delivery network (CDN) server has been hosted at the KazNIX Internet Exchange Point.

This initiative is aimed at improving the quality of digital content delivery and optimizing internet traffic for telecom operators and their subscribers.

A wide range of traffic is delivered from the local KazNIX node:

  • • video streaming (VOD and Live);
  • • OTT platforms and media services;
  • • large websites and portals;
  • • software updates, distributions, and static content;
  • • corporate and cloud services of CDNvideo clients.

This means that traffic-intensive and mass content is now available locally, without the need to fetch it via external channels.

Hosting of CDNvideo at KazNIX provides telecom operators with tangible technical and economic benefits:

  • • Reduction of international and interregional traffic volumes — content is fetched from the local CDN node instead of external uplinks.
  • • Savings on external connectivity — reduced load on backbone networks and paid transit links.
  • • Lower latency and fewer packet hops (latency and jitter), improving the performance of video services and live streams.
  • • Improved Quality of Experience (QoE) without additional investments — service stability is achieved at the routing level.
  • • Greater stability during peak hours — CDN load balancing during prime time and major events.
  • • Simplified network operations — fewer subscriber complaints about video buffering or degraded quality.

Telecom operators can highlight the following points to subscribers and corporate customers:

  • • "Popular content is delivered from local CDN nodes";
  • • High video speed and stability;
  • • Lower latency and no congestion during evening peak hours;
  • • Improved user experience for corporate networks and B2B clients.

For end users, the benefits are simple: videos load faster, play smoothly, and without buffering.

Hosting of CDNvideo at KazNIX is an important step in the development of local internet infrastructure. KazNIC and CDNvideo are creating conditions for traffic optimization, cost reduction for operators, and improved service quality — without requiring any changes to subscriber infrastructure.
